The Student Research Conference (SRC) is an annual conference where Dutch and Flemish students (HBO and WO) are given the opportunity to present their research to a wide audience and gain experience with the processes of an academic conference. This year the SRC will be held on November 21, 2012 in the Academiegebouw of Utrecht University.

The SRC is an initiative of the Association of Universities (VSNU) and is annually co-organized by another university. The SRC is exclusively for undergraduate research and follows common academic practice: after a call for papers, a committee of experienced researchers reviews the submitted papers and selects the best 60 for a workshop or a poster presentation and provides feedback on the papers. The students incorporate this feedback in their papers, after which they give a presentation at the conference and in this way compete for the Student Research Award.
